Mmm, it is a lovely 54 degrees outside today, yess~ (Well, the computer claims 54. My thermometer claimed 59, but either way, it was less than sixty when I left this morning.) I hope this continues! Pleeeease~ (Of course, it's supposed to be back in the 70s/80s by the weekend... I hope the forecast lies. D:)
I totally feel like it's Monday all over again. o.o; Probably because yesterday was the weekend I'm not going to get this weekend. XD; I totally meant to get up and do stuff, but alas, I got up just before Diana called at 3pm. (For the record, my dream appeared to include both Chad Dylan Cooper - WTF XD - and Ny Vollen. And Hannah Montana. Clearly I need help.) I did get some laundry done, though? And I went running! Buuut that's really about it for productive things yesterday; I don't know where it all went. D: I did go to bed before 2, as well, and I even managed to get up at 9 this morning! (Well, 9:10, but that's close enough!) Sashi actually seemed miffed and wanted me to stay in bed and stop getting up to turn off the alarm. XD;
Anyway... I should get back to finishing my cluster stuff so I can make sure I have enough labs printed and email people about getting stands for the lab on Saturday. I should also go take a tour of campus later to make sure I know where we're going for this scavenger hunt. XD;; Also, must talk to Vicki this afternoon - I found a postdoc that I might actually be good at, but the application is due in... nine days! Eep. o.o (Also must remember to register for AAS and get plane tickets to D.C.! And get a hotel at Disney. AND FIND A CATSITTER OMG. D:)
EDIT: Also! JAYNE HATS FOR TURKEYS! You know you want one!

So far I am disappointed in this tropical storm everyone's been talking about. All it's done is made it HOT all over again when the weather was just getting nice! Boo. D:
This week is going to be totally crazy; the buses aren't running tomorrow for the holiday so I think I'm going to try to work from home. But I also got in late today (stupid pest control - or, well, stupid me, I really need to learn to not go back to bed even if I still have 20 minutes before I need to get up) so I'm going to stay late tonight to catch up, since I don't have to run. I had this weird dream this morning though, which I can only partly remember, but I think it involved Jake from Hannah Montana. Like, we'd accidentally body-swapped or something, and we kept trying to get back to our own bodies but nothing we tried worked. XD; That's pretty fail, brain.
Friday and Saturday is STARS (including a scavenger hunt and ahaha, I don't know my way around campus! ::diiies::), and Sunday is Disney. I'm actually really just looking forward to going to Epcot, plunking myself down in one of the countries, and sitting for a nice long while with a coffee or something. Since I'll likely either be by myself (or hopefully with
violet_lane), I can take it easy and just enjoy the atmosphere, which I really want to do. :D Especially since I get in for free! And then hopefully I will get home in time for Venture Bros. XD
Also, to all you NaNo people posting snippets, I keep meaning to read everything you've posted up so far and I haven't gotten to do it yet! But I will! It probably doesn't help that all my spare time is spent plugging away at my own crazy epic PJO fic or reading 501st, which I am about halfway through and really don't want to put down. I'm going to be so sad when it's done (but at this point I am still hopeful that there will still be more to come!). Also, it really makes me want to write a clone fic. You know. In all my spare time. >>; (But seriously. I <3 Niner. Niner needs more love. Lots more. <3)
Okay, off to enjoy a few more minutes of "lunch break" before getting back to work. I want to have some final-ish tables by tonight, I can do it!

Wow. First of all, Clone Wars? I really have to hand it to them tonight. That was a fabulous episode. Not to mention hardcore. I mean, people were dying all over the place. There were larty gunships going down all over and Geonosians carting troopers off and plenty going down to blaster fire. Plus, they're usually fighting tinnies. I wonder if parents are really cool with kids watching troopers use flamethrowers on Geonosians. They may be bugs, but they're not robots, either. D: They've really stepped it up; I'm really excited for next week now!
Also, Ben 10? Finally found some good writers. Thank you. That was actually in-character, possibly for the first time this season that did not involve losing someone's left hand (because let's face it, that was ridiculous). XDD Kevin was so, so priceless~ ("Hey! No one knocks him around but me!") Though their "sneak peek" at Alien Swarm was a total bust - they showed the whole clip in the commercial announcing there'd be a sneak peek! Laaaame, Cartoon Network. Lame.
Oh, but speaking of Star Wars, I'm about 130 pages into 501st. It's like... nostalgic or something, because even though it's obviously a new book, I'm remembering sitting around the house last Christmas and reading Triple Zero for some reason. (Well, of course, it also makes me nostalgic for the good old days when certain people were not dead and there was no Evil Empire. D:) But I'm really enjoying it thus far, even if things are just kind of coming together after the setup, since a number of things changed when the Emperor took power. Plus, I just love Niner all that much more. And I really want to go back and read Hard Contact again. It makes me want to wear my Boba Fett hoodie around. XD And it's starting to get into temperatures where I can do that! Woo~ (Also? Carlyyyyyy, you need to read these Republic Commando novels. After Percy Jackson, of course~ ;D)
Plans for this weekend involve avoiding the football game (or, well, campus during the football game), getting a new futon cover and some stuffing for the pillows I'm making, because I only had enough to stuff one. XD But yay for $1.50 Wal-Mart fabric? I also need to take another look at job listings, and hopefully figure out this variability stuff that's still giving me issues. Oh, and read papers on cluster interlopers. I can't forget about those. I would also like to get the next chapter of PJO stuff out, because even though I only have the end of it written, I have plenty of stuff to fill in. Maybe I'll work on that in a bit. There are some contest entries that also need to be looked at. And apparently STARS is next week (Friday and Saturday, but thankfully not Sunday so I can still go to Disney~) so I have stuff to do for that, but nothing that can't wait 'till next week, I think.
Guh. That was probably pretty boring, but. Happy Friday everyone!

Dude, it's 10:30. Why is the only other person I've seen in yet Conor? Where is everybody? D:
Somehow I drizzled 3 our of 4 positions for one cluster; I don't know how I even figured out variability on that last one with no fake epochs, but. XD; I'm doing that now, and remembering the PAIN that is Multidrizzle. Why is it when I give it an output file name, it just ignores it? DO WHAT I TELL YOU ALREADY. D:
Watched the new Tinkerbell movie last night; it was pretty cute, and Terrence is much cuter in the movies than he is in the book (literally XD). He looks kind of like a loser in the book. D: Though I really have to wonder... in the normal Peter Pan movies, Tink is just shedding pixie dust everywhere, right? So it never really made sense to me that they have to resupply every day and that they can run out. Tink certainly never seemed to run out, unless she was sneaking off to Pixie Hollow every night while people were asleep. >>; (Clearly I think about things way too much. XD)
I also got new running shoes, which were much more expensive than what I usually pay for shoes but they were SO COMFY. I kept trying to find something cheaper but every time I tried on ones that felt awesome, they were always the more expensive ones so I just decided heck with it, they're the only equipment I need anyway and I like my knees in functioning order, thanks. I'm looking forward to trying them out today; they should last me through the half-marathon. Now if only it would get less disgusting outside again, because last weekend was almost perfect (just a little warm) but then this week it turned AWFUL again. I really, really want to walk outside and not get drenched in sweat just walking from the bus stop to work. Apparently that's too much to ask. D:
... Wow, I sure do have a lot of D:'s in this entry. I'm actually doing just fine. XD; I even went to bed early last night! (And read a book! I don't like The Cronus Chronicles as much as Percy Jackson, but I am still thoroughly entertained. And I think the second one is better than the first, despite the first taking place in the Underworld.) But then Sashi was cute this morning so I didn't get up until about 9 instead of 8:30 like I planned. But that's okay - clearly there's no one in anyway! Where's my science officer? Scott and I are totally doing the matching Starfleet shirts today. XD He better show up!
Oh! Here he is~ Woo, office of Starfleet awesomeness!

Also, there is talk of wearing costumes to work tomorrow. I'm thinking something normal-clothes-ish, like Penny or my Star Trek shirt. Hm. Suggestions? :OCamp Half-Blood shirt? XD;
Okay, back to making my numerous little IDL programs into ONE BIG IDL PROGRAM OMG. I can do this! Then it's off to re-examine my variability criteria and confirm my optical-x-ray-IR matches. I want to have a giant table of awesomeness (or maybe twelve little tables of awesomeness) by tomorrow! (I'd actually really like to be writing, but since it's only 12:55 and I have at least five more hours of astronomy before I can feel good enough about myself to go home, guess I better put that one on the backburner. XD)

So... this shall be a rambly entry on probably nothing useful whatsoever. XD; It has been a fairly busy week, what with my dad visiting over last weekend (which bled into Monday, which also included 7.5 miles of running, Heroes, and The Dark Knight) and
pergamond and me trying to date random tennis players by asking them questions in a language that we do not understand. XD (Yesterday we made it all the way to the festival, and we totally got Ryoma to ask for our phone number! That was fabulous~ And then we started again at Rikkai, and Niou made us clean out the storeroom and we fainted - GO US - and it was hilarious because Niou came back and was all, "OMG I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT YOU OOPS". But at least it got us points with him. ;D) Today is a short run (3.5 miles) and an attempt to eat dinner with very little food in my house, and then early tomorrow morning (like, nine ;_;) I have to leave to get Frank from the airport in Orlando. Then it's a weekend of Disney, woo!
So don't get me wrong, I've had a fabulous week and am really looking forward to this weekend. But I am definitely also looking forward to next week when I should have a few days to sit around and do nothing but write in the evenings. XD The Ties That Bind is a bit behind, but I should have the next chapter out early next week. I had to sit down and think about this one scene I was writing, because at first I realized it showed nothing new (and was not required) but then got this inspiration to make it actually useful, which is good, but now I've got to figure out just how I want to do it. And after I've managed to pass enough time in-story, we get to the good stuff. >D I'm really looking forward to that. I also really need to write my Halloween entry for the fic battle, which I haven't really touched since Sunday when I was jotting stuff down in between downs. XD I'm still not sure whether there is actual conflict in the story, but we'll see. Maybe it can be just a meandering piece or something... Must think on that!
Aaaand I think that might be it for now. Gonna get some work done in the hopes that I really can graduate next year. We're going to assess where I am in December and make a more final decision, but as for now I'm going to work like I can graduate next summer. Plus, we just actually got some GTC data! Here's hoping it actually helps. XD
BUT FIRST. WHAT is up with the episode synopsis for Alien Force tonight? Dear God. XD We already did this on Venture Bros, people. ::dies::

adfjaofja Hubble Fellowship applications are due Nov. 5th WUT? I'm not ready to think about jobs yet. REALLY. I'm NOT. ;_; WHY.
On a totally unrelated note, I walked past this kid with a cast on his arm today. Written on it in big, green sharpie letters was "FML". I kind of snickered. Well, it's appropriate?

Went to a rather interesting talk today on the nature and possible manifestations of dark matter, which was pretty awesome~ Cosmology is fantastic, and I think I will always love it. :D (Especially when you get to go to talks featuring WIMPs, MACHOs, and the all-new WIMPZILLAs!) I have also achieved IRAC color-color diagrams of my galaxy clusters, which made me feel rather accomplished. Alas, I have to wait 'till next week to get ACIS-Extract and its associated programs installed, but that gives me a chance to ignore X-rays for yet another few days~
This evening I set to work getting Penny ready for this weekend, which I am happy to say only took about an hour to an hour and a half total. I love easy costumes! (Granted, I had the black shirt already, and I bought the pink shirt and black shorts from Goodwill. All I had to do was make the pink shirt smaller and cannibalize two pairs of leggings into one pair of stripey ones. Dude, I measured those stripes and made them proportional! Cosplay math FTW.)

( Two more here! )
I don't think I'm going to wear anything horribly costume-y for the race, mostly because I don't have anything. (I could always run in Videl, but that's so obscure it's not worth it. XD) Maybe I'll come up with something I already have before Saturday. In the meantime, I just have to make sure I remember to bring Bolt this weekend, along with a lightsaber for Frank. And I need to tape Venture Bros!

So! I would say welcome to a real update, but I don't know that anything I'm going to update about is actually useful to anyone. XD; But here it is, nonetheless.
Sunday was made of football (woo!) and Venture Bros (double woo!). Although I must say, the Bears totally self-destructed and it was horribly embarrassing, alas. I mean, they kept false-starting and it was just ridiculous. Sigh. Then it was time for the season 4 premiere of VB, which did not disappoint. It was crazy! ("Oh holy crap, you're Nazis!" XDD) I think Dad was somewhat confused, seeing as I'd only shown him two episodes from season 1 and the last two of season 3, and then the premiere wasn't exactly told in chronological order and the only thing we had to go off of was Hank's hair, which is fine when you need to tell short from long, but then there were varying degrees of long and yeah. XD; But this season is certainly looking epic. Or something. Yeah. XD
Monday after dropping my dad off at the airport I came back and did my longest run yet: 7.5 miles. It took me about an hour twenty, which averages to 10.6 minutes per mile. The 13k is only 0.6 miles longer than what I ran, so I can totally do this. :D My legs are a little tired but not too bad, and I took today off. I think maybe tomorrow I'll do 4.5, and then 3.5 either Thursday (probably) or Friday, and then Saturday night's the race! (Hm... perhaps this means I need to remember to go to bed at a reasonable hour on Friday.) Also, I need to finish my costume (tomorrow) for the Halloween Party. And speaking of Halloween, the short little thing I was writing for
pjo_fic_battle is going to be longer than I thought. And may only be peripherally connected to Halloween, but I'm trying. At least it should prove to be interesting... I just hope I have time to finish more than one prompt. XD And I also need to work on The Ties That Bind; I'm a little stuck as to what I want to put next, since I need to pass some time in-story, but I'll figure out something. The next time I have a chance to sit down and write... uh. Maybe Thursday? Not tonight, that's for sure.
pergamond is back in town for the week; this afternoon we broke out Gakuensai no Oujisama and had ourselves some fun. XD It's so much more entertaining to make the story up as you go, which is pretty much what we have to do, given our horribly incomplete understanding of the Japanese language. We first attempted to join Hyoutei, but after being totally snubbed by Shishido for Ohtori (well, no surprise there...) we restarted at Seigaku, which seemed to go much better. Momo totally loved us, and it took a while to win Ryoma over but we were totally getting there! It was also our mission to annoy Tezuka as much as possible. I am happy to report we were totally succeeding. XD Also, Fuji tried to feed us jalepeno sandwiches. Thankfully I think we ran away with Ryoma. (I'm not sure, but at least we survived, either way?)
Also, at work today I totally got IDL to do fancy things with errors and chi-squared and I think I may actually have gotten something approaching reasonable results for my IR power-law galaxies. ::squee:: I mean, I've got some overlap with optical variables and X-ray point sources - that totally means I'm doing it right, right? XD; Hopefully tomorrow I can finish that up and then I can get ACIS-Extract up and running and get those darn X-ray fluxes so I can move on with my life, eesh. And speaking of moving on, I finally got the paperwork signed on my Rio reimbursement. Here's hoping it goes through quickly. I could really used the nearly $2k they owe me!Because Delia's has the cutest star t-shirt and some kickass hoodies.
And finally. I went to Wal-Mart this evening and procured myself a copy of Revenge of the Fallen, because I had a gift card for almost exactly the right amount (I love how movies are only $20 the day they come out, even the fancy 2-disc special edition I snagged). ( Cue Transformers babble below. )
valeriebean, I know I owe you a phone call. I was out 'till late yesterday (I made the mistake of reiterating that I hadn't seen The Dark Knight after Heroes and so it was immediately and impulsively watched) and I should head to bed within the hour, but I should have time tomorrow since there is no NGN! Also, I don't know if you'll even see this, but
link621, I've been thinking of you all day. <3

I could really used the nearly $2k they owe me!
And finally. I went to Wal-Mart this evening and procured myself a copy of Revenge of the Fallen, because I had a gift card for almost exactly the right amount (I love how movies are only $20 the day they come out, even the fancy 2-disc special edition I snagged). ( Cue Transformers babble below. )

Okay, all you Transformers fans. You have to see this because it's awesome. Scott found it this afternoon and I just had to share.
Uh... I don't know if I really have much else to say. XD; Extragalactic-ph in half an hour, which will hopefully go okay since I re-read the paper this morning and finished taking notes on it last night. Now it's back to trying to figure out why my power law isn't a power law. Because it should be. I SWEAR THE MATH IS RIGHT. D: Natural logs, why have you failed me?
(Also, for the record, I now own a TeniPuri dating game because
pergamond is even awesomer than those Autobots up there. XD I look forward to flailing around and hitting buttons because I have no idea what anyone is saying. |D Although I admit I am hard-pressed to figure out which is more entertaining: potentially sparkly Ryoma or the Japanese astronomical toilet paper I also received. XD)
And because I have nothing else to say, T-minus 3.5 days until VENTURE BROS SEASON 4! I wonder if I can get my dad addicted by then...
Back to work!
---
EDIT (3:11pm): I THINK I GOT THE POWER LAW TO WORK. afhaufnaui Finally!
Also, Scott is listening to some AOL Anime radio channel. I can just barely hear it through his headphones; it's kind of entertaining, like name that tune! XD
Also also, Jim randomly showed up this afternoon. XD Apparently he's in town for the Homecoming Game. So random! I was like, "Wait, this isn't Rio..." :D;

There is a GIANT (like, as big as I am) stuffed killer whale hanging from the ceiling in the office across the hall. I am extremely entertained though I admit I will be moreso if it falls down....
Also, I think I have achieved Spitzer photometry. Maybe. I might even have some power-law galaxies. Of course, I totally don't trust my code so now it's time to throw in some data from a paper and see if I get the same thing they did. I bet I won't. D: But I can hope, right? I mean, I wrote a code that figures out a power law index (in a horribly handwavy way) but I DID REAL MATH! I think. Oh man, I had to look up non-10-base logs because it's been so long. ::fail::
My plan to stay until 6 or 7 may fail spectacularly if this being hungry thing continues. :x
Here, have a Will icon. <3 I might need another, less OMG-y one. XD;

Oh man, I have so many wavelengths to work on I don't know where to start this morning. I may have to come in this weekend, this week has been so unproductive (again, not for lack of trying!). I never feel like I have anything reasonable to show for myself at weekly meetings. :x I did start IR photometry (just playing around with some parameters in PHOT and re-making some mosaics at different pixel scales) and I am going to play with X-ray stuff probably today, and I need to get those photometric redshift estimates moving. Eek. ;_; Somebody stop the world, I think I want to get off for a while and be a writer.
... Actually, I think I may have dreamed about work. I think I might have been working on IR stuff. Except I was in Japan. Percy was possibly running around. (Damn, why can't I remember? If Percy Jackson is running around my dreams, I want to remember it!) I place any blame for the non work-related parts of that dream squarely on the shoulders of
antistar_e, whose totally freaking awesome Percy/Nico fic I finished reading last night and now I am depressed I have no more to read. D: (Also, you have no idea how much better it makes me feel that I'm not the only person to have written over 60,000 words of Percy/Nico in one story. XD And by the way,
pergamond, the instant you finish the last Percy Jackson book, provided you like them, I am sending you to read this fic. It made me miss Japan!)
Right. Okay, back to work. In the disgusting weather, because it is disgusting and only 78 degrees outside but I think the humidity is possibly a google percent. Yes, that's possible here in Florida. I wish it weren't.
Also, my power went out today three times in as many minutes. D: Talk about weird.
Right. Work!

Ugh, I hate picking out papers to present. Mostly because I'm so bad at it! Normally there's a list but I think we've pretty much exhausted it and it hasn't been updated in a while. :x
On the plus side, you tend to run into some fabulous paper titles on astro-ph. "The axis of evil - a polarization perspective" being one of them. XD

I am currently in the process of submitting an abstract for a dissertation talk at the AAS in January. Scary. D: I mean, all it means is that I'm within a year of getting my PhD as of January, but still! That's scary!
Of course, it also means I'm going to the AAS and certain people (Tyler and Valerie) should come too. ;D Because then we could share a room or something and you know how much fun that is! I'm actually pretty excited about Washington, D.C. - I've only spent a day there before and I totally need to hit up all the museums. Of course, let's not forget that I run a half-marathon at Disneyworld oh, two days after the end of the meeting. ::dies:: This is gonna be fun. Really. XD (I did 4.5 miles again yesterday with no problems, though, so maybe I'll up it to 5 or 6 this weekend~ Thank God it's actually less than 80 out finally so I'm not a dripping mess when I get done. XD;)
Speaking of astronomy, I went to a talk this morning on the TMT - the Thirty Meter Telescope - because guys, that's awesome. XD THIRTY METERS OF MIRROR. For serious. (Well, actually it's about 400 1.4 meter-sized segments all put together... which is possibly even crazier!) Anyway, they've already chosen a site for it so I suppose that means it's no longer a thing of the speculative future and it's actually going happen. Wow~
Also, apparently Hydra (Pluto's second-largest moon) is occulting a start tonight and it might be visible from Florida. I'm torn on offering myself up to help view it - on the one hand, I have experience with occultations (especially involving Pluto!) but on the other hand, I was really looking forward to having the night to myself. :x Hm. I suppose I have another few hours to decide.
And finally, totally randomly, I really like the Jimmy Robbins and KSM albums. Maybe I'll upload a song from each or something, to prod you guys into supporting them or something. :D;
Okay, time to finish lunch so I can go meet with my advisor in 20 minutes.

You know, if I was any good at multitasking I would've had a PhD by now. HURRY UP MOPEX. D: (Also, Spitzer channel 3 and sometimes 4, why do you suck? Now I have to look into image correction for you. Grar.)
On a much happier note, a Teen Titans-tastic birthday to

asjdiafa. You know, if Anakin falls over one more time he's going to go have to sit on the Millennium Falcon with Padme.Clearly I have too many action figures on my desk. XD
It was 75 out this morning and I was so excited until I realized that I actually felt kind of cold. Oh, God, Florida. What have you done to me? ;_; (Well, actually, I'm still excited. But I need to buy new jeans. Why don't mine fit anymore? And why are they so hard to take in?)
Also, I'm sorry I seem to post way too much lately. D: You guys must be sick of me.

So apparently there were at least 2600 people at the Astronomy Starry Night thing tonight, wow. I think we've never before topped 800; I guess if you bring in an astronaut and give away telescopes to the first 80 takers, that's a big draw. Or maybe people just really like astronomy? XD; It is the International Year of Astronomy, after all~ I was there from about 4 until 9:30, mainly helping out with the Galileoscope workshop. I was signed up for two but I helped out with three, and it was pretty fun although we were running really late because the slide show took people through things slower than was really necessary. Everyone I helped was done way early because they just wanted to move on so I tried to explain the telescope to them as I helped them put it together. And I think I get to keep the one PC and I did for training, which is fancy~ I think I might get my dad one for his birthday, too. Anyway, since I got home so late that meant I had to tape Phineas & Ferb and Alien Force, so I of course watched them (woo!) and now here I am. (For the record, sometimes I think Ben thinks at the speed of plot. And the speed of plot? Is not fast. XD;)
Totally randomly, I actually got to watch Minutemen all the way through yesterday, which is actually the first time I've seen the whole thing. I'd seen the middle-beginning and most of the end on two separate occassions, but never the very beginning or the actual middle. It was actually a whole heckuva lot more enjoyable when seen beginning to end (ahaha, go figure, right? XD) and OMG ZEKE IS ADORABLE. I WANT ONE. <3 Of course this made me realize that instead of finding small things cute, I might actually find tall things cute. This is probably bad. XD; But he iiiiiiis~
Anyway, I'm trying to decide if I want to do anything constructive (like write) or if I should just plop down with Ever and finish it, because I probably could, given two hours. (It's okay; nothing like what I was expecting but still not too bad overall, and a really quick read.) I do have about a third of a (haha) third entry for
pjo_fic_battle that I could work on, but maybe that will get done tomorrow. And after that I really should stop. Because three entries is enough. XD; ::dies:: And I need to work on the epic PJO fic; I think the next part will be ready to go pretty soon. This weekend the plans are to MOPEX like crazy and also write and clean, so hopefully all of that should be achievable. I can hope, at least, right? I also need to run back to the grocery store because, ahaha, I forgot bread and pickles and making sandwiches on Monday will be difficult without at least one and boring without the other.
Okay, I'll get going and spare you further babble~

The stack of books in the "To Read" pile (which is now actually two piles) on my bookshelf has gotten somewhat ridiculous. I really should rectify this situation and read things before I go out and buy new books. I swear I'm trying! I just haven't had a lot of time to read lately (or, really, ever since I took up running instead of sitting on a stationary bike; gee, I wonder why). BUT I finished the Clone Wars book I was working on, and now Revenge of the Fallen is up next to be finished (halfway through it) and then I really should finish my second readthrough of The Battle of the Labyrinth before I start something new. Maybe The Shadow Thieves will be here by then. (Because more Greek Mythology? Yes, please~)
Also, a very happy birthday to
tylerdurdenmiko! :DDD I will be calling you later~ <3
Anyway, this week has been horribly busy and it won't end until tomorrow night. XD; Sunday was the concert, Monday was the two-hour Heroes premiere (for which Tiffany Skyped in, win!), Tuesday was Diana!time (OMG yay~) and G.I. Joe, Wednesday was an attempt to get to the bookstore (one of the books I ordered from Borders.com was pretty mangled when I opened the box, so I wanted to return it and reorder) before NGN with pizza and bonus!five episodes. Tonight is Wal-mart, the grocery store, and hanging out with Jesse and tomorrow is the big giant crazy Astronomy Department outreach event where they're expecting something like 2000 people and I really hope they're off, because I don't know if we can handle that many. XD; I'm helping out with at least two of the Galileoscope-building workshops (in a room somewhere that we're not allowed to access without museum staff? Hmm...) so I have to tape all my shows and just watch them when I get home uber-late. But that's okay~ Though the Friday times are all different and crazy now so I miss Suite Life if I want to watch Ben 10, but at least I get to see Phineas and Ferb.
Also, for the record, Disney is showing Meet the Robinsons at 9 EST tomorrow. If you have not seen this movie, YOU SHOULD!
Okay. Time to go take a five-minute walk or something because I AM FREEZING. D:

I just received the best review ever: "Nico wouldn't just go all New Jersey on some chick." XD Oh man~ That is an awesome assessment. <3 No, seriously, I was so entertained, hee~ IF ONLY THEY KNEW. >D
Just got back from G.I. Joe, which was entertaining, as expected. I also (finally) got to see the first episode of Merlin season 2, which was Merliny and awesome as usual~
Work was a bit of a bust today, as I woke up late, but I got some stuff organized at least and tomorrow it's back to MOPEXing it up. There's also this big outreach event on Friday that I'm helping out with, so I suppose I'd better take a look at those Galileoscope instructions again if I'm going to be helping the general public build them, woo. I'm hoping I can get done in time to see the astronaut talk!

Today was the annual Reitz Union Meeting during which all the grad students give short talks on their research. (Except Scott. Scott has never been here for a meeting. XD;) Anyway, I was afraid mine would run long but I think I finished right on time; also, most of the faculty had disappeared by that point so there were no hard questions, whee~ Of course, this just underscores the amount of work I have left to do if I aim to graduate next year. Eek. Next week is going to be made of IR analysis. I am actually (possibly in vain) hoping to get most of that done by Friday. We shall see.
Anyway, I came home, dropped by Scott's to feed the cat, went running, and promptly got distracted by TV for most of the evening. XD; Hey, it's not my fault I have seen none of the second season of Suite Life On Deck, or that they seemed to be showing all of it in a row. (Ahahaha, hello puberty. I see you visited a certain pair of twins between last season and now. XD) Plus, there was new Ben 10, and then there was much Phineas and Ferb. With all of that TV goodness, how can you go wrong?
Also, ahaha? A chapter a week, yeah right. I have a feeling that I can get chapter 2 of PJO epic fic number three out before I go to bed tonight. XD; Boy, I sure fail (by, uh, not failing? Or something). I also think I have the plot for the Sam/Bee sequel thing. So now I just have to get around to writing it. Also, I'm almost done reading The Revenge of the Fallen. I was vaguely disturbed that they actually spell out Mudflap's lisp, but at the same time I guess it makes sense. Although now I actually have to work at figuring out what he's saying. XD; At least Skids is entertaining.Fo' shizzle, bro.
