I was going to post pictures of my almost-finished Gwen, but none of them came out well. ::dies:: Alas; I'll just wait until it's completely done. All I have left to do are take in the skirt a bit and hem it, and find something for the tie closure on the red thing~ The lace on the font actually came out pretty well, at least! (Okay, you can have a picture of that.)

So I finally got off my butt (or, rather, on it XD) and started getting those drabbles done from that drabble meme I advertised way back when. I'm really sorry it's taken me this long. D: And of course I think I'm going to do this in chunks, so here are the first three (not exactly in the order I was given prompts) out of ten that I was given.

As a note, these generally fail as drabbles in the strictest sense - I really seem incapable of writing anything incredibly short, so they're all a couple hundred words at least. No novels though, I promise!

Spent most of this weekend sleeping and attempting to work on Nina. I ran out of white thread (oops D:) around 9pm tonight, and I didn't feel like running out to WalMart that late since I hadn't even eaten dinner yet, so I will try to do that tomorrow before Heroes. But I got various parts of the costume done, so while I'm not quite where I wanted to be by the end of the weekend, I'm getting there. I realized I can use little!Subaru's pants for Videl, and I swear the rest of that I really can just buy, so I'm less stressed about getting that done which gives me more time to concentrate on Nina. I think I can do this.

It really didn't help that I slept in until 2:30 today when I actually meant to get up at 10. Clearly I, uh. Needed the sleep? (I'm never really convinced of this, though. I seem to be able to sleep FOREVER without really needing sleep. XD) I did get a little bit of writing done this weekend; maybe another 1,000 words or so on my second!epic!Percy/Nico fic, which is less than I'd hoped but at least it's something? I also got about three paragraphs into that alternateuniverse!Ben 10 fic, which I am trying to convince myself does not have to be EPICLY LONG or anything like my first one. XD I think this one really will work out short and sweet. Here's hoping~

To do this week: CLEAN OMG, continue working on Nina, get some writing done, pack and set VCR for the stuff I'm missing this weekend (since I'm missing The Secret Saturdays and the premiere of Jonas shut up you all should be glad I didn't buy those Demi Lovato concert tickets like I was thinking about while I'm gone this weekend). And I also have to book the hotel for Disney for when my grandmother's here, and also see about getting a reservation for tea while I'm at it. Plus, haircut on Tuesday! I really need one. D: (Incidentally, this is the second time I've called about a haircut and found out the person I was going to didn't work there anymore. XD)

That's really about it. Why is it Sunday night already? D: Time to go read some Watchmen and force myself to bed in half an hour~

I should probably be doing something useful, like writing, but I really don't feel like it. I did, however, start my fic for the current merlin_flashfic challenge. I think I have 'till Saturday - I should check! Either way it should get done tomorrow. It's not like it really needs much plot... XD Incidentally, I realize I like to blame a lot of things on Gaius, ahaha~ And I have a pretty good idea what my next contest entry will be about... now I just have to write it and get it in the mail by the 15th!

I did spend my early evening putting Drew's bodysuit together - well, the orange part. It actually went pretty well, though I have stupid hips and was afraid for a while it might not fit. XD I have to take the sides in a bit on the top, but otherwise I think it will work okay~ I would take a picture, but it looks kind of lame hanging on the hanger. XDD Also, orange bodysuits are extremely unforgiving ::cries:: Hopefully the belt will help. >>; All the same, I should probably eat healthy for the next week. XD And remember to do situps tonight. Next up is Jennie's Lara top though, before I work on Drew any more! And I also need to get that BeVin exchange thing done, but at least I have until the 20th... Gotta find a night next week to break into my office late at night to do that. XD

So, random Trek trivia of the day: we were watching "The Perfect Mate" last night and the empathic metamorph, Kamala, LOOKED SO FAMILIAR. It drove me crazy all night, and into the morning; I finally looked her up on IMDB and guess who? JEAN GREY. XD Everyone clearly has been on Star Trek.

And I don't think a lot of people will do this, but I figured I should try? Write down all the dumb stuff I say XD:

I came home and literally spent four hours trying to do ONE THING on Padme's shirt. ::fail:: It's not even quite finished yet, but I needed to give up around 10pm and actually make dinner. XD I think I'm just going to set the shirt aside and finish it up LAST. Next up will be the bootcovers. And I can't forget the belt!

I started proofing Jennie's paper (halfway done!) and I think I just need to work on cutting down that contest entry to 1,000 words (I hope the story makes sense, I have to pay money to enter this one!). Funnily enough, it's about a guy named Kevin, and I keep picturing... well, either Kevin Smith (of the PoT variety) or my new main man, Mister Levin. XD It's quite funny. In my head, at least. >>; Man. I wish I had more time to write. :x I need to get the next PJO chapter out and I have an idea for the new Merlin prompt....

But despite that I kind of just ended up watching two episodes of Ben 10 Alien Force and I really want to sit around and do nothing tomorrow but watch more Ben 10. XD ::FAIL:: And no, I really cannot get an idea for a fic, that would be a terrible, horrible idea. Really. REALLY, BRAIN. And I know I just used this icon but TOO BAD.

Woo~ After a week of feeling like it's a day later than it actually is, it's finally Friday! And of course, I could not get out of bed this morning so I have to leave early to go to the post office and pick up the package I was going to get this morning. At least I got up in time for the GAO meeting at 10:30! (By all rights, I was ready to leave at 9:40, but then the stupid bus didn't come until 10.D:)

Other than that, not much really going on; I have to make sure to print out the marathon stuff and pack for the weekend. I think I'm going to try to be the most brightly-colored spectator there, so Frank can find me. XDD (Well, that and I have all this nifty new stuff to wear!) I need to transfer my stuff to a smaller bag, though - I don't need my nice new (but large) Jedi bag to cart around Disneyworld.

EDIT: ... Well holy crap. I just found $100 in my small bag when I went to clean it out to bring to Disney. IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS! :DDD

So. Today... kind of didn't happen. By which I mean I did not wake up until 4pm. Uh. Oops. >>; I'm just lucky there wasn't an astro-ph this week and that my advisor is out of town. I'm going to try to get in early (ahaha, yes, laugh at me, I would) tomorrow to make up for it.

In any case, since going in to work was pointless I worked out and mailed two more packages for Valerie and stopped at McDonald's for food, which I brought over to Scott's. I figured that since he has a region-free DVD player, I would watch an episode of Merlin and eat there to keep Nozimi company, since I haven't been able to spend a lot of time with her this week. And now I am back and I think I might just fail to do a whole lot of anything productive for the rest of the day. I'll try Real Life again tomorrow. ^^; At least these days don't happen to me quite as much as they used to. XD;
